If I manage to not only pass all my five tests of the following two weeks, thus avoiding the exams, but also get pretty good grades at at least some of them, I hereby promise to release one epic comic soon afterwards, and work on new content for Phenomena on Break.

Uh, this was totally a “OH MY GOD WHAT” moment.
I often read GamesRadar, a website about videogames that usually goes for the humor in their articles, and I was reading this new article about the sexiest characters of the past decade.
Guess who is Miss 2004? Yeah, Alyx Vance. No surprise there.
What was surprising was finding one of my pictures to represent her. No, really! That full-body picture was one that I posed back in 2007! The evidence is on PoB – here!
Well, I’m flattered, but unfortunately they didn’t add any credit to it. It’s likely that they just bumped on it in Google, but then again… I made it. So I sent them a friendly e-mail asking for credit on behalf of PoB. Let’s see what they say.
Who knows, maybe I’ll get PoB and this blog some views!
EDIT: I Google’d “Alyx Vance” out of curiosity, and guess what? The picture does appear at least once in another website.
See, this is why I host my pictures on WordPress now – at least it’s always traced back to my blog. That one’s from back when I used ImageShack.

Hopefully, this is going to be my very own humor series – y’know, like so many comic creators have (e.g. Delirium’s Robot Insurance). Considering I made two humor comics in the space of a few weeks for the blog some time ago, I might just pull this off. Finally, some new comic content!
Also, it’s still a little early, but merry Christmas!
And, just in case you notice the odd logo besides Phenomena on Break’s, know that something else is coming up, hopefully soon.
First of all, my sincere apologies for the lack of content not only of the past few weeks, but of the past year. While it’s been more active than certain other personal blogs, it was still behind what I hoped I could achieve, especially in regards to my promised revamp, which began mid-year and moved at a pretty slow pace.
Good news, though. I had nothing better to do (well, except study, but I’m too lazy for that), so I spent three or so hours doing Step 2 of the oft-mentioned renewal of the blog – the new Comics page. I’ve been promising to do that one since around May, and I finally decided I should just get on to it.
So… here it is. It’s new, it’s prettier (in my opinion, at least), and hopefully it’ll be a more organized and interesting way of browsing through the very few comics I’ve made for the past two years. And, now that Step 2 is complete, all that’s missing is Step 3… the best part of the “new blog” scenario that I envisioned, which would guarantee almost-weekly updates and a pretty interesting web site.
Still, while I don’t get on to it, I’ll have something to interest you. You might notice that the “Series” part of the Comics page says “None yet – but stay posted…“. I could’ve simply not make a “Series” section, but it’s there for a reason – one that’ll be revealed very soon. Most likely tomorrow.

Will it be something amazing and mind-blowing? Most likely not. Will you like it? Hopefully, yes. Also, it’s right on time for Christmas, which is no coincidence. It’s a gift to you all, heheh.
I might also have an announcement to make by the end of the week, but I’m not too sure yet. Still, it’s a lot of content for a site that’s been so slow for the most part of the year, don’t you think?

By the way, that’s the “citizen zombie” skin I made. I haven’t uploaded it anywhere because there’s already a similar skin on GarrysMod.org, although it’s got some flaws.
And on a totally unrelated note, Batman: Arkham Asylum’s sequel has just been confirmed. And, judging from the teaser site, it’s gonna include Two-Face.
The original was one of my favorite games of this year, so I’ll be looking forward to this one.
I bet some of you might have already seen this on the Internet, but still, sharing it justifies my break of “bimonthly posts” streak.

From left to right: Modern Warfare 2 for PS3, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season Two and Lost Season Five (both having just been shipped), and also Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End. Rug not included. Almost completely wiped my savings, but it was worth it.
I’ve actually had Modern Warfare 2 for a couple days now, beat the Campaign and all, and I can tell you it’s amazing. Try it out if you haven’t, you owe yourself at least that much.
I wanted to integrate this into some sort of Robot Insurance-esque comic series, but I’ve been too busy to do it. Maybe I’ll retroactively add it later, yes?
Still studying. First test is tomorrow and I feel I’m far from ready.

Yeah, it’s been a pretty hectic month and the worst is just around the corner, as in a week I have my first college exams – and I’ve barely studied so far. Thus, expect little to no news from me during the next two weeks.
I also missed Halloween with all this work piling up. It’s not much of a tradition around here, but it’s as fun a holiday as April Fools, because you get to mess around with everything. I might have not got anything made in time, but today I was working on this little fella:
I bet you can’t recognize due to all the blood and, uh, exposed ribcages on the chest, but this little undead fella is actually… me!
I decided to skin a headcrab zombie to look like me, just for fun, and I came up with that. I personally think it’s pretty nice – even if it’s hard to recognize, it’s still a nice change from the usual white-clad zombies.
The skin’s hexed and ready, but I was trying to make a SNPC – that is, a working Garry’s Mod NPC. Still, I’ve been having trouble and had to ask for some help, so I’m not sure if this will ever be released.
Still, lemme tell ya… it’s pretty fun to blast my undead self’s headcrab off.
So, well, wish me luck for college. I’ll try to post news, but it’s not gonna be easy.
EDIT: I’m now thinking of doing Zombie Looshkin and Zombie Nemi (the original orange skin). I won’t do Delirium because his skin sucks is of a Rebel, not a citizen.

It’s been a month, eh? Sorry about that, really. I wanted to make this post earlier, but I didn’t have time.
I’m in college now. It’s been actually pretty fun, but also a wild ride – I have little to no free time; in fact, I barely have had time to study (and I’ve wasted that time anyway). And that’s why, instead of doing all the things I’ve promised, I’ve been absent.
I can’t promise that it’ll change anytime soon, but I’ll try to post some news, okay? Have fun, guys.
