I knew something was missing

Hello. It’s been a long time. Surely no one missed me. That’s okay. I didn’t miss you either.

I’ve spent the last weeks studying, taking exams and…playing videogames. That’s right. Videogames. I’m talking about Twilight Princess and Fallout 3. And a secret game.

Twilight Princess is the second (?) best game of the Legend of Zelda series. The best is Phantom Hourglass. For several reasons. Or maybe TP is the best… I dunno… Well, both are awesome and I love playing them… But TP is great. Of course I cheated…and looked for help on the internets (and Mythos freaked out), but still, it was awesome. Now, that Cave of Ordeals, or whatever its name is, is HORRIBLE. Especially those ReDead. They scare me and  they scare poor Tsu (Link’s name in the game) and then he can’t move and then they hit him and then I freak out and then Tsu dies. But I’m going to kick their bony asses. I mean, I even killed a giant pig named Ganon. And I was, like, tiny. I can do it. I can do it. I can’t do it. They scare me. I’m scared. I’m scared. AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

Now…Fallout 3. It’s…addictive. Totally. But kind of frustrating if you’re like me and want to do everything in every side-mission. Or side-quest. Whatever you call it. Why? Because it takes a loooooooooooooong time and LOTS of pacience. It’s an incredibly complex game. Anyone who completed it at 100% must have played it for about a hundred hours. Or more. I haven’t even found the damned museum to get a  dish outta there and I played the game for 15 hours. FIFTEEN hours. Who knows what I could have done in half of that time.
Oh, and it has bugs. Lots of bugs. Radroaches, radscorpions and that stuff. And teddy bears! It has at least 22 teddy bears! And sometimes the screen is all black and when my gun is touching someone’s head and I use the V.A.T.S. and shoot, I don’t hit the person and get killed. And I hate falling off bridges after I killing about 20 raiders and then, when, I try to do it again, they kill me just like that.

Oh, and that secret game. That secret Wii Wonder. Filled with secret secrets. With angels and creatures and transvestites. I’ll let Mythos talk about that later.

PS: didn’t feel like logging in…so when this blog shows the names, please don’t think Mythos wrote this crap.

PPS: I write “and” a lot of times…

Destiny calls using a private number

So, Lost’s back. Fucking awesome if you ask me! :D And apparently, 20 million viewers watched the premiere. Yes, you read that right, twenty million. Gotta love Lost!

What’s also back is the test times – you know, the times where I have tests every . And, unlike a certain someone, my tests are not about movies. Tests in Portugal are evaluation exams, only they’re twice a term  for each class.
Fortunately I’m a good student so I usually get top grades (18 or 19 in 20), but it’s still a pain in the ass to study.

On comics, I’m thinking at the moment (literally; as I’m writing this I’m getting the idea) of finishing that comic I teased some time ago. I started it just for fun but, as usually happens with my long comics, became an annoying effort to finish.
Still, I won’t give up on it, even if it’s not particularly noteworthy. And I guess I should do it first, before moving on to Endgame.

Which I was posing some days ago. :)

Also, Tsu went away for the last week but she’s back again. Yay! So now, I have my time filled with studying, my girlfriend… and I guess a little bit for the Internet.
Talk to y’all soon!

Busy busy busy

School’s been up and… well, Tsu’s been here since last week’s Wednesday. That’s all you really need to know to understand why I’ve been absent. I’ve only been on my computer for a bit, so I’ve done litte to nothing on comic terms.

BUT, I’ve been thinking. A lot. Being cheerful and intelectually motivated goes a long way to bring me fantastic ideas. In fact, I’ve had a few on how to “fix” Endgame (the map problems, ya dig?), and if I keep up the motivation I’m feeling right now I’ll restart work on it after I finish the comic I’m – uh, was making before she came here.

Also, it snowed here last Friday. For the first time in twenty-one years. Can you imagine that?

Of course, that also gave me ideas. A splendid one, actually, on the project that will follow Endgame. I’ve had a lot of  ‘em for it these days, and I hope to organize them in order to start work after Endgame.

I’m pretty sure you’ve grown tired of me talking about comics I’m making when I never release them. But I’m like this! Always the optimist. Because when I start a comic, I do want to finish it. I just never get around to doing that.

Anyway, right now, in terms of comic priorities (which are second to all real life priorities, including tying my shoes – hang on a sec… okay), the first thing is finishing the comic I started for fun two weeks ago (yeah, ironic, isn’t it?), then doing Endgame and releasing it, and then starting work on the other project that’ll follow. I also want 2009 to be the year I make the project that I’ve been planning since 2006 – i.e., for three years. That should make a pretty epic thing if it was ever done, but hey, it’s me. When do I ever finish epic stuff?

Anyway, I think I should say just now that my lowest comic priority is in fact Leet 4 Dead. I have some ideas, but nothing that big. And then again, that update should take a while, so meh.

I also just noticed that I use italics a lot. I guess I emphasize my speech a lot.

Oh, by the way, I guess this is a bit late to say, but I think I’m gonna cancel It’s an Odd Job 2. I’ll talk about all the ideas one of these days though, including all the concept artwork I made on Photoshop, which should make a pretty interesting post.

Talk to you later, brethren. Or rather brother. Probably sister.

EDIT: I just reread some pages from Endgame that I made back in September. Honestly? It felt awesome. It has so much promise, even with its flaws. I just wanna do it now.

WiP

I had a nice idea today for a new feature for the blog; unfortunately, I only got home at 7pm and quite tired (school started today and I had to do some errands during the rest of the time), but I still managed to work a bit on my idea. So with any luck you’ll see it during this week.
I think it’s somewhat original (it’s been done before, but not to this extent), but I’m not sure whether you’ll enjoy it. It really depends on how much you read the blog, I guess. But you’ll see later.

On another note, I’ve been playing more MGS4 and less Fallout 3 recently, mostly because I hadn’t touched MGS in so long and Fallout was becoming a bit too much. I’ve been enjoying MGO, even if I’m not an ace player, buuut I might just take a little hike on the Capital Wasteland later…

I’ll see you real soon, fellas – with new stuff!

“It’s… the Borealis!”

I was having some fun exploring the .gcf folders of Half-Life 2 and Episode Two last night, looking for neat Combine propaganda posters, and I ended up finding a lot of cool stuff. I didn’t find all the posters, but I did find all the Resistance graffitis, which is even better.
When I moved onto Episode Two, however, I found better stuff. The DHARMA White Forest logo? Check. The Borealis schematics? Check.
An image I have never seen before of the Borealis? Che- wait, what?

Seriously, this is pure concept art and I’ve never seen it before. It’s pretty similar to the Episode Three ones, but it’s for Episode Two. Here you have it:

Borealis Artwork

Awesome, right? Now I can’t wait for Episode Three news. Again.
Catch ya later!

FFS 2009!

School starts Monday. Two days from now; or rather one day, since it’s 11pm.
Goshdarn shkewl!

Well, tomorrow I’ll try to start work on the new template.

OMG 2009?

I didn’t have Internet for the whole fucking week due to a misunderstanding and a fucked up Internet provider.
So this is the first time I log on the Internet in 2009, and I must say, it’s looking a lot like 2008’s. Ah well, at least it waited for me!

So, news. News news. Well, I finished a new page on that comic I’m working on, and I had a new idea last night that I started posing right off the bat. It’s a genius idea – which poses the question, “has it been done before?”. I hope not, because I fucking love it and I wanna be the guy to do it.
I also rewatched the whole season four of Lost. It was, again, so awesome. So I’m having my spoilers fix right as I write this!

Boy, Internet, I missed you. A little.
Okay, a bit.
Alright, I’ll admit it – I only missed the Wikis and DarkUFO. And Phenomena on Break a little.

But I missed you, reader! Yes, you! You’re the only one that reads this and I love you for it! I should give you something nice one of these days.
Hm, well… how about…

Coming Soon

Shh. Keep it a secret between you and me, okay? Every time I announce something I give up a bit afterwards, so let’s just consider this unofficial. Off-the-record. Don’t tell anyone!
I’ll catch you later, buddy.
